I haven’t reached my goal yet on this marketplace which I am dedicated to, but I can see reaching even half of my goal in double the time. I’m now able to make plans for future business and financial growth.

I look back and am still amazed at how fast I’ve reached the mark that I’m at, and I realize that I have a freedom I had only when I use to freelance heavy, and run the streets looking for clients. Now I have a part time gig and work hard at making templates for graphic river on my own accord. Plus I have even more freedom to go out and spend time with family, and friends. :-)

Inspiration comes, daily through many facets, but now, there’s no urgency to make the next check, or find the right client. I’m Loving it!

I honestly have to say. I would be stuck at a 9to5 design job with the thirst to do business for myself, while trying to keep up with the regular troubles of life in general.

I’m really interested in the answers some of you who would like to share would give.

I’d be in exactly the same place, with pretty much exactly the same money, but a whole lot more free time … lol .)

I’m in this as a hobby. All my items here were done for fun, because I love designing. But to honestly say it financially justifies my efforts … In the long run it will. I calculate that every item has to sell 100 times so that it has been worth my while financially. I guess somewhere down the road this will have happened.

Then I will have had a lot of fun and it will have been worth my while financially.

At the moment, I’m just having a lot of fun … But then again, that’s something money can’t buy :)

For me real-world clients pay a lot better, projects are much bigger and I have a far more consistent flow of work coming in. So I wouldn’t think of GR replacing my day job.

But it’s definitely added a new facet to my life: Spend all my free time designing and make a buck were doing so … pretty damn cool :)

Cheers

Chris

I were stressed out looking for work in business from here for about $300 per month.
However thanks to Graphicriver, I saw the opportunity to succeed without be employed of some company, because sincerely the companys here in Colombia or at least here in Cartagena don’t pay to their employers what i earn per month here. ;)

PS: I don’t like to have bosses

Without Envato (gr to be specific) I would have been doing a 9 to 5 design job with a mundane routine of things to do which really restricted my design fetish. Besides, I am earning 3 times what I would. The Knowledge and discipline I have received here is invaluable.

I’m currently balancing my workload, I do a 9to5 job as a lead designer, I also do private freelance jobs and regularly populating my GR protfolio! In fact with 2 kids and a 3rd on the way it’s getting overloaded! I’m going to have to re-think my strategy!

Same here! :)

I’m a long way off making a living out of GR/TF but it was enough to allow me to leave my 9-5 job and work for myself on design projects of my choosing. Much happier now.

If I ever meet Collis, I’m hugging him.
