I own a small service business with a staff of 21. I need a good email service that is easy to work with, aside Google apps. What are your top picks please ?

Best way is to host your own e-mail service.

If you can’t host your own e-mail service i recommend Google Apps or iCloud. I prefer Google.

Do you want to stop using Google?

You could also try ZohoMail.

I use google to handle my email, and it works great. I recommend it if you are already used to gmail.

As you explicitly mention you do not want to use Google, there must be some hidden requirement here. What are your needs with regards to an email service?

Avoid self hosting unless you want headaches. Setup can go smoothly but maintenance, blacklist unblocking, using old/blacklisted IP addresses – nothing but problems unless you have really good sysadmin to support this service.

I’m guessing he wants a free service…
