I use Logic 9,Reason 5 for custom beats and garageband for vocals. (I can’t afford pro tools)
Samplitude Pro X
Cubase 5, FL10
Protools 8 all the way! No way i’m paying for that upgrade.
I use Logic 9, and in the past i’ve used Digital Performer and Pro Tools.
Logic is my fav but the others are very solid as well. I’ve also heard great things about Cubase. If I ever leave logic Cubase would probably be my next venture.
I’ve used several throughout the years. I have settled down with Logic after my switch to Mac in 2k. Most DAWS are synonymous for the most part.
Finale 2011 for when I need a printed score..
For film and other projects where I just need audio, I’m on SonarX1.
Love. It.
I’m using a mix of DAW ’s. My main DAW is Steinberg Cubase 5. This is where I compose the most stuff, but record, mix and master everything in. Sometimes I have Propellerhead Reason (Rewire in Cubase).
Programming drums I like to do in FL Studio. Mainly for electronic drums though (hiphop, house etc.)
Finale for scoring, Cubase for recording, Wavelab for editing and mastering
Sonar 8.5 professional edition makes all I need. I use it for composing, mixing and mastering, audio editing and video syncronization. I used Logic and Cubase in the past but when I tried Sonar 6 I felt in love.
