I`ve been recently listening to some of the old Fallout OST and I think it is really great. Adds a great atmosphere, it has a strong concept and enhances the gaming experience. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iy4tStuK7s#movie_player
Really nice thread
I rarely play games, but I love K-Jah radio from GTA 3 … (Laughing vampires dance! Feel the voodoo course! HELL YEAH !). Flat Out 2 have a great soundtrack too… I remember when I was (very) young, and I played a lot of Nintendo games… Many of them have cool music, eg. Kick Master, Daiva, Dizzy, and many many more but I can’t remind now…
Arcanum soundtrack truly shines. Beautiful quartet stuff. Here is main theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftvpi-6Z6qw

Dead Space and Bioshock (the first game) have incredible soundtracks. They might not be the most memorable, but they are certainly two of the best in terms of helping the player get immersed in the game.
I loved the sound design in deadspace, crazily good.
Also, forgot to add that Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is my favorite game soundtrack of all time. Im a huge Amon Tobin fan hehe

+1
It helped that the game is still probably the pinnacle of the Splinter Cell franchise.
