I was searching my username because I have yet to figure out where any of my tracks are being used. I came across this link:http://freevity.com/2012/audiojungle/music/lost-in-london-audiojungle-25403222/
It looks like a site to download free stuff. Their motto says “All Premiums Are Become Free!”. It asked me to fill out a survey to gain access to the download link, which I did not.
Wondering if you guys ever run across this type of thing infiltrating our community?
It is weird. They don’t have a good grasp of English; “All premiums are become free”... Already not making sense. I suspect it is after advertising revenue or people info. I guess the only download you’ll get is the watermark unless they buy our tracks to pass on. Looks like its a host only, some links take you to the author page.
Anyway, you would have to be really daft to give them anything, let alone your email.
I never saw anything like this on AudioJungle, but I see it all the time on Videohive Authors. They must be having a very hard time fighting against piracy.
jhunger saidYup, its all for referral income. I don’t mind if extra links are coming to are music, but that is like a mirror site. Yes pretty elaborate.
I did find this a couple of days ago: http://www.koogua.com/store/audio Maybe I’ve been out of the loop and it’s been mentioned before, but I hadn’t run across it previously. Seems like an awfully elaborate way to generate referral income .
Yeah, i’ve found many of my tracks as ringtones (with AudioJungle watermarks) on various sites. Not sure what can be done about. I guess its fine when they do link back to AJungle, but when they’re not….http://www.oonly.com/download/senser-mp3-1.html http://www.oonly.com/info.php?name=rockspell_aj_preview_-_the_senser_complex.mp3&url=t62XabuWw8ib27immdG5x8ikemePrKjaotF-p5i0gOWmqcy2xMt_7E5qZ820iZyMoL2LxsTYh2i4w6ihmbJmraHN
