Well of course they do. But they’re not aggressive enough about making that a reality.
windows should publish an update which DESTROOOOYS the IE6 for ever on every Pc
And if you wan’t to install the IE6 the pc should explode!
I installed Windows XP on my laptop today (ahhh, Windows XP, where everything works as it should, at the speed it should…), and started installing Microsoft updates and fixes to catch up to the latest release and one of the mandatory updates was to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 (in fact, it installed automatically without my consent) so I guess Microsoft is taking it seriously.
Personally, I think this browser should have died 5 years ago. It lasting all these years is nothing short of a miracle.
Die IE6 ; you won’t be missed.
Just so you know, you can still get IE7 from Microsoft : http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9AE91EBE-3385-447C-8A30-081805B2F90B&displaylang=en
IE6 – I work as an outsourced designer (no vacancies sorry) and ‘my’ Manager told me that he visits many small businesses who use Windows2000 which wont accept IE7 (?) and that’s why I still have to design to cater for IE6 .
If that is fact then it’s unlikely any amount of hate for IE6 will kill it.

Yep. That’s unfortunately the case for many companies.
