Waiting it’s not a problem at all, there are a lot of files and I think the reviewers do their best.
Sometimes it’s faster, sometimes slower, but hey I think it’s not easy to manage so many files! It may look easy, simple and fast but…
For each submission, they have to:
- Listen to all the tracks (Generally 3 Files!) - [1-9 minutes]
- Check the title, the description and the keywords - [1-5 minutes]
- Check the bitrates (the MP3 with no preview must be 320) - [10-30 seconds :D]
Aaaaand, I think they have to check the same things more times, because they need to be sure the files are perfect! (Professional marketplace! :))
And what if there are some problems with the submission? They usually tell you what the problem is, so that you can do better! [1-5 minutes]
So… it means they are very helpful, and reviewing it’s not an easy, fast and simple task.
Thank you, AJ Team!!

I think the reviews here on AJ do a fantastic job. With the huge volume of stuff they listen to, I find it amazing that they still often find the time to write a little message on my submissions with a little bit of advice or a kind comment. Its a personal touch I’ve never encountered before on other similar sites. Like its been said before, just spend the 5 days or so writing more great tracks, and you can have a continuous stream of material in the upload queue…
You all right – AJ review team doing great job, but I don’t think they will hire any more reviewers – just look at the sales – AJ seems to be the least profitable part of envato marketplaces – amount of sales in compare to items in library is very small and I don’t think speed of approving probably want change anything.
recently there have been times when the approval took a few hours:) and now even more 7 days.
- Won a Competition
- Was featured in a podcast
- Item was Featured
- Author had a Free File of the Month
- Grew a moustache for the Envato Movember competition
- Sold between 10 000 and 50 000 dollars
- Referred between 1 and 9 users
- Bought between 50 and 99 items
- Has been a member for 3-4 years

Sales to item ratio does not define most or least profitable as marketplaces like GraphicRiver probably has more items posted under $10 than AudioJungle does. An author may get more sales per item there than someone at AudioJungle but still be less profitable.
I am coming to believe, however, that those who release 200-400 songs a month are not doing themselves any favors. It’s probably best to space them out, and set a nice pace. I’m learning Envato marketplaces are marathons, not sprints. It’s not about quantity, but quality.
New world record for the approval file, 9 days!
