Hi all,
i am new here, just found an awesome track i would like to use as part of my eCommerce store product videos, it has the right atmosphere and sounds awesome but since i have little to no experience with licensing i wanted to ask for some help so please excuse my noobness for not knowing the correct terminology.
The track i want to use is one of the following 2:
A Fresh Start or Positive Thinking both by the same author (BeatheBeat)
i think i need the regular licence but i want to use the music in in my product videos i am currently creating – i am not sure if i need to purchase the licence once or once for each of the videos i will be making (and i will be making up to 50 or so videos – one for each product i have) which will only be used on my website as a free source of information for the end user, i will not be selling these videos or use the music in any other way except promotional material for my site.
again sorry for noobness, i did try a search but it didn’t bring anything related to my queries (i was probably searching for incorrect terminology anyway)
Here is a link that may help you:

hi guitarjock, thanks for the reply. i have studied that page but the terminology used isnt 100% clear to me in my limited understanding of licensing.
it says limited to 1 application, is this 1 piece of work in my case a single video.. which is what i thought originally, what gets me though is a bit further down it says:
“You may use the Work alone or you may incorporate the Work into another work you are creating.”
i will be creating other videos (other work i am creating)
obviously i dont want to cause problems for the author or get myself into trouble hence the questions :/
i just want to be clear in my mind before i make any purchases
thanks again reggy
The way I read the licensing agreement, you would need to purchase one license per one track, per one video. At least that’s what I’ve been telling my clients. Please someone correct me if I’m wrong. Cheers and good luck.
thats what i thought sensorcomplex – just looking for some clarification
