It says that I cann’t send an email with more than 500 recipients, right?
So I understand that I can send more than 500 emails, one by one recipient. It’s right?
I am developing a website with a big amount of users, so I need it
Thanks in advice guys!
Why don’t u use some Email Service Provider instead?
Like campaignmonitor, or mailchimp … or any other, depends on your quality standards. Or even self-hosted apps.
Using an ESP boosts deliverability – they’re recognized as certified email senders.
Just be sure not to spam, no matter the way you choose to do it.
Always ask for permission!
Cosmin. Digital Impact.
I know some alternatives but actually it’s configured for gmail account (using google domains) so it’s OK. Just want to know if that rule means 500 recepients for an email.
And no, it isn’t spam, just newsletter notifications for registered members (that can disable it in the profile).
Oh, and there is another problem…
I was thinking about make and configure my own SMTP service in the server, but unfortunately hotmail send emails to junk email… It’s just hotmail, from the begining, sending just one email, the rest of the services: yahoo, gmail, and so on didn’t “spam us” or block our emails. :/
I had a lot of similar problems with isp’s and mail providers either blocking or sending email to junk from my home mail server – think the person who had my IP before had been spamming people so it was blacklisted all over the place.
That’s the great thing about using Google’s servers to relay – don’t really have to worry about it getting rejected anywhere and you can send as much as you want…
Awww… I found in google groups a guys pasting a reply from Google telling him about cann’t send more than 500 emails in a day.. it’s so poor!
I send a lot more than 500 emails a day through my google apps domain…
500 messages per day (i.e., you can hit ‘Send’ a maximum of 500 times) - 500 unique recipients - 2000 total emails (for example, you could send one message to a group of 500 people four times)
...looks like I haven’t had issues as I send to less than 500 people
