It has recently been discovered that UK Government Bodies have been secretly discussing plans to censor the UK’s internet.
Ed Vaizey, the UK’s Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries, has been taking part in closed meetings with copyright lobbyists, apparently working on a proposal that could amount to internet censorship.
This is a serious proposal and could amount to breaches in human rights!

Don’t worry about it, something like that will never pass over here. I’d be amazed if it did.

You’d be surprised at the obscure thing’s they’ll find excuses to pass! And considering how they are trying to focus in on copyright, they may just be able to bend the black and white of their intentions enough to get it through!

Tactics like this really make me ditest our government. For someone elected by the people to serve the people, how is it even remotely acceptable to be holding secret meetings with copyright lobbyists that only have their own commercial interests at heart? Really makes me sick. Well done to whoever leaked this.

What makes you so certain? Actually France and the USA are heading in the same direction.
