I thought you clearly asked, “What VST instruments are Top Author use … ?” What type of VST ’s are you looking for? I’m not a top author here but I could help you out if you want.

I think Top Authors combine vst and real instruments. Real ukulele + VST piano for example. I think most of them use good finalizing plugins like waves or izotope. But if you use logic pro for mac, mabe it will be enought vst instruments included in logic pro.
