I’ve been buying tracks off audio jungle for several years. I spend thousands of dollars every year. As a filmmaker, who runs a full-time studio, I have to make decisions quickly and this unfortunately also includes music track selection.

I’ll spend approximately 5 minutes searching for a sound track on audiojungle that I need for a current production. When I don’t find it, then I move onto another site or service. What I feel is very lacking is how I can manage my bookmarks. When I’m searching for a particular type of song, I usually come across other tracks that I like. So, I bookmark those tracks as well. After awhile, I have hundreds of bookmarks with very little way to manage them. I end up wasting so much time trying to find a track that I bookmarked, even though I placed it in a specific folder. That folder may have 50 tracks.

I could speed up my purchases if I could place folders within folders. I’d like to have a bookmark folder that says “Audio”, then one called “Music” and and another called “Sound Design”. Within “music” I can create another folder called “Cinematic”, etc. This makes sense to me because it’s how I organize everything else in my life.

If I can find the track I bookmarked, then I’ll buy it. But, I will only find it if the organization structure is in place.

Just my 2 cents :)

Jeremy

I guess it decreseas your mobility – you have to carry a flash drive with some portable-browser with your bookmarks, if you’re using more than one comp. Anyhow, it’s always nice to have your preferences on a server-side.

Hi Jeremy,

You can create your own collections by genres (the link is right next to the “Bookmark this” button).
However, I don’t believe that you can create a collection within a collection, so you raise a good point. I am sure the staff will take notice of your remarks and work a solution.
In the meantime, you can download preview files and arrange them as you see fit on your computer. Not handy but that would do the trick. Don’t forget to rename the previews though or they will all have the same name (preview.mp3).
Unfortunately, this does not apply to sound effects.

Hope this helps!

1 – I Agree, If Envato will make a new feature to organize favorites in the future it will be very useful (could be a new section/tab of the dashboard’s Interface, so we can navigate, create, organize our stuff as we like for ALL the marketplace). It could also contain a “recommend for you” engine, on this section to discover newer productions while the users will navigate in the folders based on what we favorite.

2 – My personal work-flow:
What I do is simple (already suggested), I create my own folders in my browser by categories. Not only categories, but also Sub-Categories and sometimes with my own notes / details so it looks weird but for me it’s super helpful, for example: “Scary music – Super useful! keep on update all the time (high priority)” So whenever I need something like that I actually see my own notes and update if needed. it was just an example, in my case it’s not only for buying. I find it useful for any kind of website and goal out there, that’s why I use the browser’s favorites all the time.

It’s also easy to search in folders later, especially if I was the one who organized with my own names and notes, I highly suggest you to give it a shot, it may speedup your work flow a lot.

Maybe Envato will add more options for favorites in the future, it will be great for both buyers and authors! :)
