Greetings,

What is your way for coming up with theme names? The reason I am asking is due that I am quite interested to see how peoples come up with their own theme names. Besides that it’s kind of helpful to know what ideas other peoples uses to come up with their own theme names.

I’ve noticed ThemeFusion has been naming themes after Harry Potter spells – ie. Avada [kedavra], Crucio, Imperio – I thought that was quite an interesting idea :P

I just name my themes after pretty random words, latin words in particular. Words like “traction” seem to make quite good theme names as well for some reason!

Ah. Thanks for the clarification I guess there really isn’t much meaning. Probably I will just try to come up with theme names that rhymes I guess.

Use latin names. :)

cranium, cerebrium, sartorius, animalia, pegasus, dolor, ...

Use et the end of the word, -us, -er, -um, -or, -os. It’s pretty & cool. Cheers! :)

That’s funny :)

We have used latin names in some of the themes. I think the best way to find names for the themes is to play with words, start from a basic word and add prefixes and suffixes to make it sound cooler. As for the niche themes it’s best to use the niche name also in the title, for a better search function.
