Nice to see it open again I think such threads are realy needed for community. I Don’t get it why the old one was locked. But anyway.. new fresh start is always a good sign

so…. I would like to tell a scary story about sales and here it is (the pic):

Can anyone look up their analytics? Did the same happen to everyone? whats the cause? Maybe new ratings system? It realy scares me out :))

The fall is on september 15.. did anything happen on that day ?

Yes… off a cliff on Sept 13 / Sept 14.

The only thing I can think of is that the way things are measured has changed. Maybe it went from page hits to number who watched the preview… or number who finished watching the preview. Anyway, it’s an interesting one. I think it warrants a new thread… I’ve started one.

6 months off for me still, by the looks of it, but one day maybe!

This has been my joint second best month ever. The best one was 11 sales ahead and was in March 2010. That was a month when I uploaded 10 items though, including Sketch IIRC .

The other two second best months…(yes, I seem to land on the same number every time) were both 31 day months, so I suppose of my 3 second bests, September 2011 was the best second best!

Sales do seem to be climbing slowly, but of course you can only really see what’s happening if you don’t upload at all for a period of time. As you upload more items, you would naturally expect your sales to grow, in actual fact, they grow slower than you’d expect, because already existent items’ sales are falling off.

I suspect that the truth of the matter is that sales fall off unrelentingly over time, until they find a low level where they just tick along, selling once or twice every now and then. Look at Plamen… once undisputed #1 on Videohive….but after 6 months of not uploading, nowhere to be found in the top 20. Where are you Plamen? I guess a freelance career has taken over. Good for you!

September was best month since I joined..Not for sales but for earnings,hope it will be like that in future..but I did notice drop in sales last few days..Congrats for the badge,Filips!

For me this month was the best in earning but not in sales as well, as Felt said, my best month in term of sales was March.

It is always hard to say good bye to an old friend…
Come on friends, the old one was ”...old sales..” this new one which was started 6 month later will be talking about high sales!
Miseld, you should be proud, your thread was the longest and the most active in of all!
