I’d like to know you all, so please, tell me a little about yourselves! I go first.. (let’s get persona peoplel!)

I’m 29, been producing music since I was 14. Started out with a software called fasttracker II (DOS) and around that time it was happy hardcore on schedule, it was the shit at that time, around my parts. Heave 303 sequences with a disted bassdrums on the menu.

How did you get started, and what triggered you to get started? What song? Around then, there were very few people who did electro music like you and I do today, but now it’s very common and really nothing special. So, what was it, that made you take that leep and most of all, continue and be that person you’re today, because we all know it’s a struggle, like any art.. it comes and goes.. Be as personal as you wanna be!

Cheers, Stefan

great topic, greater story :)

I’m 23 now and I started with producing music about 4 years ago… a friend of me (SusBeats) produced some hiphop on FL Studio 4 (today already on 9)... hiphop was the shit in that time (like for you happyhardcore) and I thought hmm let’s learn that program… I started with an account called iDraw and started uploading tracks, some of them was sold like 7 times even those beats had a reeeally poor quality… I learned and learned and then I had a downtime for 2 years because of my lack of motivation, I sitted sometimes like 4 hours in front of my PC and nothing comes to something that sound “nearly good”... so I started to listen to music carefully and thought about how those tracks are made, and from this music I gained inspiration…

I created a new account (this one) uploaded 2 loops, recently a Logo, and at the moment is another electro-like loop in the queue, so I hope it continues like this… my biggest success so far was the Activeden Asset competition where I have won $333… winner for best Music Asset, a Rock Track

I have changed in a really different way, and I learn everyday something, today I learned about how to handle a VST called GrossBeat (which is integrated into FL9 ).... I changed my mind, I think different…. and so is my music.. the result in the end is always a surprise for myself

I know you said electro is electro and house is house.. and so on, but you can put in your personal touch… as you do Stefan, and that’s why your music is so awesome and that’s what makes it special… and that’s what I trying to do in my tracks since my nickname is “danielku”...... “putting my personal touch into my music”...... I just have to learn how to perfectionize my tracks

I will maybe buy a Mac someday… cuz I hate my PC :D

Great post,

I am a full time writer/session player/producer living in Nashville TN. I have a production facility in my house that I write and produce from. I have been a pro-tools guy for years now. It is so easy here in Nashville to move from room to room with your HD with a pro-tools session on it.

I have been writing music for library’s and television for about 15 years. I have had music on Monday Night Football, The Rush Limbaugh Show, The Winter Olympics, and on most of the major networks.

I have really enjoyed putting some of my tracks up on Audiojungle and hearing what other people are doing, it is a nice community.

Solidbeats, I worked with Fasttracker II as well and I can’t describe the excitement I felt when I first learned about it and the other MOD trackers out there. I later moved on to Jeskola Buzz, which I still adore to this day, but I have very fond memories of Fasttracker II and its graphical interface. Its partly the reason I now work with FLStudio, since it reminds me of Fasttrracker II.

Basically, I’m just a very serious computer geek. I got started in audio using an old PC software called Adlib Music Composer and over the years I’ve kept going using various other software. Professionally, I haven’t done much with it. I’ve sold some mixes in the past, but nothing major. On the non-professional level, I’ve been working on miscellaneous audio and music projects for nearly as long as I’ve been working with computers. I like almost everything computer-related and my time is usually equally spent working on a mix of programming, graphic and web design and music composition, with a special focus on small game development.

On a more personal note, I live in Los Angeles, California in the United States and I love most forms of music, with a special focus on funk, underground hip-hop and trip-hop. I used to be a b-boy (breakdancer) but I got old somewhere along the lines. I’m now 36.

Regards, David

I’m now 20. When I was a kid my mom used to put me in an organ lesson class, because she wants me to play organ in church. I hate it though. When I grew up I found myself trying to escape from the class. After 4 years I ditched the class and started to learn guitar by myself. Then something happen that accidentally make me learn to play drums. And I ended falling in love with it.

I started to learn digital music composing since I was 14. At that time, pop punk was really big. I did some Blink 182 covers with FL Studio 7. I can’t forget the excitement of hearing my own recording on my walkman. Then I dig more about recordings and such stuffs. After I purchase my first Mac, I find Logic Pro. It is the only music software I have beside Garage Band. Not interested in buying other softwares (because recording softwares cost me like my whole life), I learn what I have. And I got hooked in Logic Pro until now.

AudioJungle, by far, is my greatest achievement in selling music. It is the reason why I create Paypal account and my first time earning money. I feel so blessed that I find this site and meet great people like you guys :)

I’m now 35. Until 2001 I was playing in rock and punk bands (guitar, violin). I bought my first computer in 2001. Cakewalk 9 was my first aplication where I tried to play with general midi (I didn’t hear then about VST ’s). Now I work with Nuendo and Pro-Tools . I was making ringtones for 3 years and was a student in sound school. I collaborated with some singers/artists and groups (arranging muisc, composing), but it was very difficult for me communicate with these people. Then I started to work as a field recordist on movies and TV. After 2 years I came to post production studios where I work in present as a freelancer. More than year ago (July 2008) I was looking for websites to sell all my tracks that I didn’t know what to do with them and drop my music here.
