I just wanted to say to my reviewers I did not know we couldn’t use our names as tags. I thought I was pretty up on the rules for uploading. So my apologies. Thanks for your hard work.
Really? I’ve seen several authors use their names as tags….
- Author had a File in an Envato Bundle
- Sold between 10 000 and 50 000 dollars
- Has been a member for 1-2 years
- Attended a Community Meetup
- Author was Featured
- Contributed a Blog Post
- Exclusive Author
- Grew a moustache for the Envato Movember competition
- Bought between 10 and 49 items
Nothing to worry about. Don’t waste a tag on your name. Whatever you put in the item description is searchable. What I’ve been doing lately is posting variations of “Original music composition by Phil Larson” in each item’s description. Then when you search your name in the search box, those items with your name in the description come up. Once you make the changes, give it a day or two for the changes to set and affect the search results.
I have been using my name as a tag and I had a track uploaded a couple days ago and it worked just fine. Unless something got changed right after I uploaded that track.
