Anyone know of a way to convert dynamic SWF files to video server-side?
Say I had one SWF which has some sort of animation with placeholder images, where images are dynamically loaded in, and then it must be able to save the SWF to Video so users can download?
I read something about using bitmapdata class, and exporting each frame via PHP as an image, and then have something server-side compiling a video, any suggestions on this?

I doubt if it’s possible. Flash runtime requires low level graphic and display API on desktop, most servers are headless.
Also the convert task is intense, your server would be on fire if it had to handle hundreds requests in short period.

FlaBaCo (Flash-Banner-Converter.com) is an online swf to video converter.
To get started, submit a swf file to the server. After conversion is complete, the user can download and save the generated video.
This converter handles as2, as3 animations and is capable of generating professional quality HD content. WebM, MP4 and OGG video files are generated for compatibility with HTML5 browsers and devices.
Flabaco was built to convert Flash to HTML5 so that content can be viewed on non-flash / mobile devices. Note that since the generated output is video, it is only useful for non-interactive Flash content.
