Hello people,
long time no see (of sorts)! I have recently continued work on my HTML template for Themeforest, Achilles. I think I’ve made some serious improvements on typography (Cufon is gone and better fonts used), visual hierarchy carefully adjusted and many other details refined.
I still have to remake all the Blog pages and check browser compatibility, xHTML validation, documentation and Photoshop wrap-up.
Please spare some time to send some feedback on the template it would be great if I could get a grade 1-10 on how you like it (I work much better with numbers >_<)

I think by the end of this week I’ll take another shot at approval! Thank you in advance Nikos
yes i remember this one.
Still a few issues with typography in my opinion. I would loose the lobster font as it pretty much over used now.
On a scale of 1-10 I would give it 6.
Hey Man nice job sofar. Love the hover stuff. Also the menu and submenu is cool. The titles are kinda killing the feel of the template, maybe find another font. Maybe pt-sans, or titilluim fonts.
I would hide the top wrapper “black” and maybe have a dropdown with an arrow or something.
I would give it a 8 out of 10 there are a lot of options so the options are not the problem. Work on the Typography try different fonts change the title font sizes and just work around that. I think you are not that far getting it on TF.
Cheers and good luck
Lester
Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about. Looks a lot better.
- the About our company and A few words about us sections need better content
- the Pages menu item is too wide because too long description
- the Welcome to Achilles Premium Template! section needs better lead, increase the color contrast header-paragraph
- the Purchase Theme button text color is too dark, it should be like that on hover only.
- try to view your theme without any background patterns, maybe works better.
- main menu items need hover and focus styling.
Good luck
Thanks for the replies everyone, and for your time. Typography is a pain in the a&^
I will work on this through the week and update the final version on Saturday for a proper upload on Sunday, I hope this time’ll do it

Rather problem with hierarchy (putting 3 teasers above other blocks and giving them so small heading is somehow alogical). Lobster, no doubt overoverused, but it is so good typeface that everyone is tempted to use it again and again. Actually, there are many overused methods I see here–shadows under images, nivo slider, layout scheme itself…
Drop-down is lovely. Loader for every page is pretty annoying. Our Clients page looks odd–big image of iphone, what for?–I did not understand (and by the way, button with zoom in search field moved a few pixels down). Contact page is lovely too but elements and paddings between elements are too narrow and tight, I would give more space (why people are so economical about web space, I wonder…). Share buttons–well done but do not function (maybe they do not yet). Font-size for paragraphs is tiny, to read article in such size on screens with high resolution–are there volunteers to sacrifice their eyes? Portfolio–nothing new but nicely done. Logo does not redirect to home page. Strange placement of elements of little importance at the very top…
All told above is my personal impression and opinion, you may ignore it or.. to listen to. Wish you the very best.

Thanks for the time virtuti, I really appreciate criticism, however harsh it may be; although you liking some parts of the template is a pretty good sign (from my limited time here, I can see you’re tough to please :-))
Already implemented some of the suggested changes to the template, will upload soon!
I uploaded again on Friday, the item is temporarily held by the review team, omg the wait is killing me
Still no answer?
It should not be that long. Try to email support.
Cheers
Lester
Could anyone from the review team shed some light here, please?
