Hi, I honestly love that track, and the intro is also good but it needs a good transition like a reverse crash or some other effect so when the drums kick in it feels more natural. Also you can enhance the quality on the whole track. I don’t know what mastering plugin you use, my favorite is FabFilter Pro L, I use it on almost all my tracks or one of the Wav plugins.

here’s an example of one of my tracks.

I think its a nice track, probably would make a good background track for something. Sometimes its good for the music to be non distracting and what may seem repetitive. With some of the stuff I hear that actually makes it on audiojungle I’m shocked this would get rejected.

Yeah – i’m surprised it got rejected as well. I would go so far to say that repetitive tracks are actually desired as they are easier to slice up to fit the media into which they will be inserted.

You could do a few things to this track (these are observations/suggestions to take with a grain of salt):

1) drums: pay attention to the groove you have created (ending at 1:04) – it maybe sounds like you have used RMX ’s randomization feature to achieve a new pattern from an existing loop. I think what ended up happening was one of the snare hits shifted to a weak off-beat, giving the whole a groove a lilting effect which I believe overall detracts from the drive of the beat. I would just stick to 2 and 4 for the snare. and run it through some bus compression to give it a bit more punch.

2) mixing: to me, the track is a little bit muddy around 1:25, probably needs a little cut around 250hz or so.

I would also lose the phase effect on the drums in the first half, unless you are going for that effect – it’s robbing the drums of some punch. If you are, maybe try filter automation instead to achieve a similar effect.

best of luck the 2nd time around!

NP
