SimCity

I really want to try SimCity game. Did someone played new SimCity already? What is your personal impression? Does it worth buying?

Wait. They are going to release a TON of expansions for it, and you should wait until they have made a ‘collection’ of them for you to buy, so you can save money.

I’ve been playing it for about a week and even with all of the issues that have been reported, I’m pretty much hooked. There’s a lot missing if you’ve played any of the older SimCity games, but there’s also a lot of great new things as well.

They just released a patch last night to help deal with a persistent bug having to do with traffic congestion and it seems to have helped some. But yeah, I’m loving it so far.

How does it compare to SimCity 4 Deluxe? i looooooved that game!

If you love Sim City 4 you’re not happy with the new release. Major drawback is the size of the map which is not as large as the smallest one in version four

Second issue is the sometimes strange acting glasbox engine. It looks like its still in a late beta

The good side are the graphics and that what’s happen on the streets when you zoom in. Also the region stuff works very well and specializations are a well made extra

Unfortunately they had a poor start because of their server capacity which ends up in a low user rating (and a free game)
