I was wondering if there is an option I can search for an item based on it’s duration? If not, how is the best way to go around it?

Interesting. I did some maths that I think some of you guys might find interesting:

I used the search function and found that:

For 2:00… the % of tracks sold was 59.2%

for 1:00… the % of tracks sold was 66.9%

The average % of tracks sold on AudioJungle is 53% last I checked a few months ago (I doubt it has changed, but if anything I think the percentage has gone down).

In other words, you can increase your chance of selling a track from 6.2 to 13.9% if you make it a nice and round even 1:00 or 2:00.

Of course the reason why is obvious, it is because of the usability of said track increases as it is a nice round figure, but it’s interesting to see how much more useful it becomes.

Price is based on duration, so sort by price = sort by duration.

That’s cool also. AJ should really consider adding by Duration as well.

for example http://audiojungle.net/browse/attributes/length/2:00

Thats handy thanks! It is also possible to use search – for example “dubstep” with the lenght attribute?

Really interresting analysis. So it´s better to upload let´s say 4 versions of your song in one zip file. 3x ~ 2:00 (Full, no drums, with claps) and one shorter version around 1:00 This should be perfect for AJ if the song is perfect :-)

I’m guessing it is. I just did some number work and that is what the numbers say. Anyone else with a calculator and some free time can verify my facts. I think it would increase your saleability assuming the music is good, but of course look at the top authors here and none of them really do this whole 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, business.

On my end I did it tons when I first got here (and still do it occasionally) and it has not yielded any special sales. I think it does increase the chances of a sale versus a no sale, but end of the day a lot of the end users can edit music and often do…..
