Sales dropped

Anyone notice that sales have dropped right down ? Compared to other months this is very low for me.

Fell off a cliff. Anyone notice search engine issues?

Yep, other than a couple of sales, it’s totally flatlined for me too. And that’s on top of uploading around 10 new tracks since the end of Dec. Not the most comforting moment in my AJ sales history! Haven’t got much to compare to thiugh as I only started uploading here last Jan.

Yeah, I had that too. Maybe the new search engine is finally going to effect?

Just due to the holidays I believe. I thought the week of Christmas was slow… then I experienced last week… one of the slowest in a long, long time. However, this week’s picking back up for me – already passed last week’s sales. People are getting back to work from vacation. Next week we should really be flying! Hang in there. A Staff had mentioned once, I think, that the 2nd part of January usually makes up for the slow weeks prior.

And… I’ve also noticed a HUGE decrease in sales… so far I’m still holding the holidays as the reason… but it’s already the 9th of Jan so really everyone is back at work… could it be the huge inflow of new authors flooding the market with new songs?

I have noticed a few guys come in with big portfolios (80 songs plus in one shot) which is probably causing the long review lines and decreases in sales…

+1 Phil is right. Though I’ve been on for only 18 months, my first January is the slowest on record. This year has been decent (9 sales) but still slow compared to other months. February picks up nicely. Cheers!

It’s weird. Im not a big seller, and I usually don’t complain about sales. But I was having a strong first week this month, and it completely died. I notice the search engine is giving an error message as well. Maybe related to the problem?

On pace for a record month. Sales come and go as always.

Well it’s the worst day of sales in a year for me.
