My sales seem to be hit or miss most of the time. It seems sometimes someone will buy 5 or 6 of my files and then it’ll be dry for a while again…
how to update my tags ?
On each product page, there’s an edit tab. Go there and update the keywords.
personally as a buyer I just check the “all files” link each day to see what’s new and buy what looks best, I don’t use the search box/tags much at all… when I do search, it’s by category, and I do sorts by “sales” and “published date” to see what’s bestselling and what’s newest … fwiw..

I agree, but it’s a big coincidence though. I was looking at the top authors and their sales went down big time.

How do you look at the top authors sales? I’d be interested to see whether bad sales patches for me are being replicated site-wide.
My sales have pretty much fallen off a cliff after the search update. Files that had been selling 10 or 15 times a month suddenly stopped selling at anything like the same rate. Maybe just a temporary glitch, but I had a few other ideas what it might be….
Maybe my descriptions did well in search results compared to other authors. Maybe some authors didn’t realise that the descriptions were being used for searches. And since the update, that has been levelled out – as each file now has 15 search terms.
The site has been extremely slow over the past couple of weeks. Even slower than normal. Perhaps this has been adversely effecting sales site-wide… but especially for Video Hive – as video previews require bandwidth.
It’s summer in the northern hemisphere and people are doing nice things like sunbathing instead of sitting in front of a computer.
i agree, it looks like the new search system for “top sallers” drop down…kinda good thing for the other sellers or new items
