OK, my featured author week is officially over, so I thought I would share my results. I had 13 sales during my feature week, which is well above my previous weekly average so far of 3. So that’s a 433% increase! Bear in my mind, however, that I’m a relatively new author and only have 11 items. So for my first 8 weeks (the last 8 weeks of 2012) I only averaged 2.1 sales per week. For the first 4 weeks of 2013 (prior to my feature week), I averaged 4.75 sales per week. Another thing is that 9 of the 13 sales were for my latest track. So typically newer tracks have better sales (for me anyway), and maybe this is just a hotter track than the rest, I don’t know.
In any case, it looks like the feature helped my sales, but take the results with a grain of salt.
However…. what was more important was that I gained a lot of followers. I forgot to take note of my followers prior to the feature, but I would guess I at least doubled the number of followers. I now have 63, which is awesome. I think this is way more valuable than the small increase in earnings, because this will lead to even more exposure and earnings.
So thanks again everyone!!! And congrats to Crian, the new featured author this week.
Good results! Congratulations Jason
Nice! I’ve never been the featured author (yet… hint hint
) but I have had a featured item.. and it boosted sales quite a bit.
The great benefit of having a featured item is that you get to stay on the home page for 4 weeks..
I think it is wonderful exposure!
Congrats again!!
Congrats Jason!! Well deserved!
Congrats on the featured success
. Hope it continues.
Congratz Jason!
I think a great author and person like you really deserves success. So I’m glad your week as a featured author went well. I wish you much luck for all the years to come!
Congratz JasonGraham! You made a good point, the thing that you`ve doubled the nomber of your followers is perhaps the greatest benefit from your featured author week.
Congrats! Nice of you to share this! Keep up the god work!:)
Congrats !
This “feature”
is like a first prize and the peak motivates to compose even more good tracks.
Congrats!
