The copyright team will not typically reply to a copyright ticket. They are too busy investigating the issue and trying to resolve it :)

I haven’t had to deal with any copyright issues yet, but it seems like a simple response like “Thanks, we’re looking into it!” would be more helpful than not replying. It takes a few seconds maybe, and the user doesn’t feel like they’re being ignored or that their ticket was never seen. Just my thoughts though.

Sounds reasonable :) Let me see if that’s possible. Thanks!

Going back about a year, i remember getting replies to tickets, to say they were resolved, or even saying why it was not a copyright problem. one example was “The item in question is by a non exclusive author”

I only send out tickets when I’m 100% sure that it’s not the authors work or a weird remix. Plus I always send a link with the original, if possible directly from the artists page or profile. This happened twice and both times i’ve got awarded with the silver paw and a thank you e-mail.

I think it depends on wheter the envato-team is successful in identifying the track as plagiarism or not.

this may be a foolish question, but when were talking about copyright violations, are we referring to blatant rip offs of other themes or warez sites?

Are you sure? It’s too expensive to buy and resale everything. Most usually just previews+ referrals links or really resell bestselling items only.

Anyway support must reply each ticket.

Best regards, Andrey
