That would be quite hard unless the theme doesn’t work or has severe bugs. Open a new ticket

I bought a responsive WP theme few days a go. Theme name BLOCKED . Item Link: http://themeforest.net/item/blocked-responsive-wordpress-theme/2753893?WT.ac=search_thumb&WT.seg_1=search_thumb&WT.z_author=der

The theme isn’t all that perfect and some bugs. the next day i went back to theme forest and the item is removed from the marketplace. Meaning i cant find any support, also what about future updates?

I allready submitted 2 tickets over the weekend. but no reply.

I would really appreciate it if i could get a refund and spend it on a better theme.

What you guys think?

The author has the right to remove the file and cease trading on TF as and when they wish. In terms of bugs – if there are genuine issues with the theme then support will test it and if they exist then you should be issues a refund.

I hope that you resolve your issue

Send Envato support a ping on Twitter. They tend to respond much faster when you do that.

I bought the same BLOCKED theme 2 days before it got yanked. The main reason I bought it was the support on the theme website (now gone) and the promise of future upgrades. Documentation can only go so far. Very disappointed now. Was told that no refund or credit will be given. I think support for these themes is implied in the purchase. Theme Forest need to make it clearer that support for a theme is not a reason to consider a purchase and is never guaranteed. I assumed it was. Or offer a support level for an extra $10 or something.

I suggest contacting support by opening a ticket here, the forums are quite an inapporpiate place to talk about this, mainly because refunds can only be given by support, pointing fingers is pointless! :)

If you guys look on the authors page – he says:

“Themes are no longer available or supported. They have reached their EOL (End of Life)
I am not able to continue providing my services and products to the theme community.
I wish you all the best, and thanks for helping me become a better person and developer. I’ll miss y’all.”

If the theme has errors in it then you might get refunds but technically speaking under the T&C of this site if the author chooses to remove the file or cease trading then that is their choice.
