its actually pretty annoying to publish two swf`s and edit index.html twice every time you want to do an update. A minor annoyance like having to get dressed for work, but still annoying.

Agreed – there should be a prompt asking if your main files differ from your preview files… then you can upload two separate versions otherwise you just upload one set of files… only preloaders and files with PHP really need two different previews soo most of time you don’t need to upload separate files – waists author and reviewers time uploading and downloads files for no reason :P
