I noticed I am able to put other author’s files into my public collection. Is there a benefit to doing this? Would I get a percentage if someone bought another author’s file from my collection. What are the benefits to creating a collection with a variety of work from different authors?

The main idea behind adding other composers is to show you are selecting a ‘best of’ collection and not just choosing a selection of your own tracks. As well as showing you’re not biased, it’s good kudos for your fellow composers

I plan on doing a couple of collections of the material I consider ‘top-notch’ (currently I’m being a selfish old fart and creating collections of just our work to categorise it better, but think there’s plenty of good stuff to promote out there). One of them will be a ‘hidden gems’ collection to help boost new authors’ sales who have no or few sales.
