Price Increments

Hey everyone, hopefully this will be more exciting news for all AudioJungle authors!

Following on from the initial price increments we tested out a couple of months ago which were very well received by both authors and customers, we are pleased to announce some further pricing adjustments. Starting on Monday, 27th September we will be changing some file prices for all current and all future files in the Music category.

Here’s a break down of the new Music category prices:

$4 – Music < 15 secs (no change)
$6 – Music 15 to 30 secs (no change)
$8 – Music 30 to 60 secs (an increase of +$1)
$11 – Music 60 to 120 secs (an increase of +$2)
$14 – Music over 120 secs (an increase of +$3)

The new prices reflect the increasing standard and quality of audio we now have in our library as a testament to the incredible authors who are part of AudioJungle. Combined with the new permanent rate changes which take place next week on September 30th, AudioJungle authors should start seeing some much deserved improvement to the commission they receive. Exclusive authors now all start out at 50% commission instead of 40%, with a much more attainable goal of 70% commission compared to our previous rates. We’ve actually dropped the sales volume to achieve 70% commission from $300,000 all the way down to $75,000. That’s a big, big difference!

Even with these subtle but important price changes, we feel AudioJungle is still extremely affordable compared to our competitors. It’s our community of passionate and loyal authors and customers that keeps making AudioJungle so successful and distinguishes us from other royalty-free music/audio libraries. With imminent changes and improvements to our web site, including the way customers can more quickly find what they are looking for on AudioJungle, we’re excited to see how far we can actually help AudioJungle to grow and mature.

We would like to sincerely thank our customers and authors for their continued loyalty and interest in AudioJungle and we hope that we can continue to work together to grow in the right direction.

Hey Emmett, as far as I know we are not anticipating any further changes right now. I foresee these subtle changes being in place for a while so we can continue to carefully analyze sales performance with the new price structure. Changing our existing structure too dramatically would be unreasonable for our customers. Good question, thanks for asking.
