+1 It’s a bit frustrating not knowing the guidelines and the reason for item prices.

I never even considered some items would be priced less! I assumed there would be an overall price bump across the board. (at least for existing items… especially the ones in the top 50 sales)

So I’d like to know:

1. Are existing items getting a price adjustment, or will only newly released themes get this? 2. Could some themes actually be adjusted lower than the current price? 3. I already increased a theme (Price Adjustment Tool) to go from $35 to $40 with great success (it’s making about $850/month extra money for me on one theme alone!) Since it’s now already higher priced than the average, does this mean it will not get a price increase?

Can I please get an official answer on why my prices have been lowered? Not general but pinpointing the factors why my particular items got the price reduced.

It is very discouraging to work hard and create something and then have you prices downgraded, especially without even a notice. I though that envato is a company that stands out from the rest because it listens to its community of authors and most importantly knows the importance of proper communicates.

As the OP – just want to clarify that the whole point of my thread was… and I repeat… “Price Increases”..

Honestly Envato, and I’m not just trying to moan here, but at times I really have to wonder what you’re doing and if some things we say arrive in your eyes / ears as the complete opposite….

Relax guys, I can’t reveal any details but we’re working really hard on it.

Let me remind you Vahid’s announcement:

“Jarel and his ninja team of WordPress reviewers will be systematically combing and trawling through the entire library of 1600 items over the next several days reviewing each item inorder to determine a new price based on our updated pricing system. We’ll then be cross checking the results to ensure we don’t end up with any glaring discrepancies across the library.”

So with luck there will be a Notes post alerting our community of the change (including all the juicy details I seem to have somehow neglected to add here) by the end of the month.“
