Hi everybody,

First of all I wanted to say a big “hello” to all you guys here. There are so many talented people here it’s amazing. I’m pretty new here and feel very honored to be part of this community.

Today I got my third track, “The Breakout”, approved and have encountered some difficulties which maybe you can help me with. All my preview files sound very quiet on AudioJungle and I don’t know why. The files I’ve uploaded sound normal on my end but when it’s up on AJ it’s very very quiet. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Joerg

Hi Joerg! And welcome to AJ! Wonderful music, but I think that is not enough compression and note that the player is on the AJ with a 70% volume (default) you always change your work and re-upload it (use click “Edit” in your track page) and do not forget to leave successfully for inspection. I hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply! This helps a lot. I only mixed and mastered in Cubase and didn’t do any “real” mastering. To be honest, I’m totally new to that part, too. I have Adobe Audition and will start to work on the compression in there. Thank you for the help!

You should take a look at Waves L1 Mastering plugin – it raises RMS without distortion with careful use to create your radio, tv, media file friendly !

Look at plugins iZotope Ozone 5, especially pay attention to the maximizer and exciter, it will remove your “headaches” about the quiet sound :)

Thanks again, StudioEtude! I just worked on it in Audition with the multiband compressor and got great results. It was learning by doing and now it sounds much better – and louder! The Audition compresser even says “powered by iZotope”. So I guess I’m on the right track. ;)

One more question: should I mark the new files as a “new version” when I upload them? And should I mention the new version in the description of the track?

Just press “Edit” button (on track page) and upload new version, and don’t forget write to reviewer about you changes. this process to be in very quick time

I always thought the previews were so loud when played, they would hurt my ears. :P Not sure if you can change the default volume when playing each sound, but it’d be nice if the staff implemented that if they haven’t already.
