How many of you, dear authors, can play a real violin? It was hard to learn, comparing to, for example, guitar or fretless bass?
To give you an idea how how good I can play the violin, look back to my childhood where I used to snap the strings on a guitar by tuning them until the thing went. PING
Oh, I love this idea. Can I lend your time-machine device for a sec?
So, zero? Vsts are taking over (
I tried to learn Violo a while back, but honestly couldn’t get past the uncomfortable neck positioning. I really want to try cello though, I’m looking into rentals. Trying to keep the real sounds going as long as possible.
I learned to play the cello between the age of 7-10 as I received free lessons from my school having aced a music listening test. I’ve long lost an skill I had though, and I still have nightmares of lugging it to and from school! LOL

Lol yeah the thing is pretty massive. But would you say it’s $60 for a month rental? Is it worth trying to learn?
Thought about cello too, but it costs a whole fortune! Buying some very pro vsti could be cheaper.
I would say that learning to play the cello is a full time job, so unless you REALLY willing to put in the hours of practice, I wouldn’t bother. I’d love to re-learn to play it but just don’t have the time to do so.
Is it harder than playing violin? I guess most instruments need heck lot of time to mastering )
