Depending on where you are in the world right now it’s either the 18th or 19th of October.

PayPal are currently having an unplanned outage on their API system which is causing a certain percentage of all purchases and deposits to not go through. See this description on their website: Paypal Outage

While I’m pretty confident no data is getting lost, so purchases made while PayPal is having trouble should make it through, once their system is back at 100% we’ll go through and verify that all the records are correct so no one loses any money.

Unfortunately there’s not much we can do about it.

Myeah…. what were you expecting. This is like what happened to Romanian paypal accounts 2 months ago. The system didn’t recognize the credit card anymore. When calling them their answer was ” Oh… we didn’t know about that either… sorry for the inconvenience… we’ll fix it in 24 hours ” 3 days later … they fixed it :|

Difference is that they make quite a bit of cash from these ‘merchants’ that suffer from the current downtime – I guess they’ll try to get it back up as soon as they can, for their own good. ;)

The latest update from the Paypal site status page suggests that this issue is mostly resolved.

Once the final “everything is ok” update comes through from PayPal, the dev and support teams will work together to make sure everyone effected over the past couple of hours is sorted out.

I also just wanted to note if you’re waiting for a support ticket reply we are going through them as fast as we can, but when external PayPal issues like this occur we get really swamped for a period of time. Thanks for being patient! :)
