In May of this Year I’ve started to make social icons for GR marketplace, but was rejected with the reason – We have plenty of this.
I was really sad, because I’ve spent many hours on preparing and designing it. I just didn’t want to scratch this file so I’ve sent the preview image to Item Discussion forum HERE .
With the help of the great comunity I’ve contacted support and told them why I think this file should be on GR and after that, the file was accepted.
Now it is a 5 stars item with over 200 sales, which has sales every day.
I would like to say Thank You and send kisses especialy to MonikaM as She was the one who believed that this file should be on GR marketplace and help me to think positive and don’t give up.
Big Thx goes also to WonderArt, indieground and Kaixer for their comments.
So what is the point of this story? Never give up if You believe your file has a potential to sell well.

You are a brave man investing so much time on an item that’s top spot on the “not needed” list! So the return is well-deserved. Definitely an awesome set of icons!
Cheers
Chris

I’m a sucker for stories like this
Love to see when someone has something great to share, especially stories like this one!
Great job Survivor, it clearly shows that dedication and attention to details matter! Love your work!
Keep it up!
A Great story and a happy ending!
I usually don’t give up after i have a file rejected. I work on it and it usually gest accepted the second try (one time took me three times to get accepted).
But then again i never got the “We have plenty of this” death sentence. I would probably give up after that, so its nice to ear this story.
Keep up the good work!
I love that icon set, one of my favorites here!
This thread just made my day …
Thank you Survivor (especially for the kisses
). It’s so nice of you to write it here and I’m glad I didn’t miss it, cause I’m not around as much as I used to be.
Anyway, I’m super happy that this file is so successful. I’m not surprised about it at all, because it’s a nicely made and a very useful file for every web designer out there.
Survivor, I can see you’re doing great and all I can say … Keep it up
