It’s just one of the many improvement projects that are in the works.
Yup
It’s still in the beginning stages and the Devs haven’t revealed any concrete plans yet, so that’s really all the detail I have. The current ratings system was never designed to be the final solution.
Gotcha, K.D. Thanks for your reply. I just was hoping to hear something good like it could be removed altogether until a solution that doesn’t really do much but hurt the author community could be found.
Howdy, @KingDog, many thanks for your reply.. We know that Envato staffs / dev teams are busy.. I think it’s good to make sure that first thing comes first..
Just sad to hear that there are so many authors (like Garry O’Neal, Sophonic, Allegro120, SERFMusic, AlumoAudio and other authors that complained on previous pages in this thread) are hurt because of “a temporary rating system that never designed to be the final solution yet”... We all should hear and understand their positive feedbacks.
So if “the current rating system never designed to be the final solution” yet, maybe giving authors an option to enable / disable rating system on their items (temporary) is probaly a good idea ? Don’t you think so?

thanks
I just think its kind of maddening that this issue has been on the table for 3 years now and is still only in its beginning stages with no concrete progress…
It’s weird.. if this rating issue has been rising for 3 years with no action, maybe Envato staffs think that it’s not that important..
There are millions members in Envato… Who knows maybe actually there are only 50 authors that complained on this issue ?
Maybe staffs have researched all marketplace issues with their own parameters.. and have their own to-do-list..
If it’s so, then the unhappy authors just have to wait..

Who knows..
The finest track in my portfolio now has 4 ratings and has dipped to 4 stars. It is completely bewildering. The last person to rate it must have given it 1 star. By accident I hope? It is the very best track in my entire portfolio. The ratings system is a flawed, or at the very least confusing system.
+1
Something very similar is happening to me. When one of my tracks begins to sell much … get the punctuation of 4 stars. This track stops sold.
This should change soon.
I wonder how the rating is computed, as it sounds like it’s the average of all votes. If so, a better approach would be to cull out the top/bottom 20% of ratings to eliminate any gaming. Or just get rid of the whole thing altogether
hehe
Hello, again with the same theme as always.
My song “Wedding” has been rated with 4 stars, (other punctuation low for one of my most promising songs) I think it’s grossly unfair, is an issue that has already been selected by 4 or 5 Videohive and was rising rapidly in sales in recent weeks. I know this is happening with other authors as Pinkzebra, for instance, with a great theme indeed unjustly voted.
Please, I would ask that when someone Envato to be written vote who is the author of that vote. Another way is to make it mandatory to write in “comments” to vote.
This is causing tremendous damage to the community, must be tackled quickly. If we continue like this, in a few years we will see AudioJungle full of poor grades.
I hope you are not the next.
It is unfortunate.
I think that this topic will be actual always, I’m sorry …
