... the nasty app that is checking “vitals+recent-sales” nearly every second is shut down immediately. The traffic is killing our servers and as much as we love the API , the marketplace comes first. Unless these requests die down, the API will be shut off at 16:30 AEST .

Just found an app that is even worse, checking for “recent-sales+statement+account+earnings-and-sales-by-month”. Please fix your code to check once per minute, not ten times per second.

you should set a limit like twitter…maybe 100 requests per hour or so…that will force developers to code their apps properly.

Does anyone really need an update once a minute even? Once an hour seems more reasonable.

I don’t know if anything has been shut down yet, if the API has been fixed, or what. But the site seems to be running SUPER fast now. Its like it should be.

ok, this its strange, yesterday a friend seen me check the upload place of my item just ask me if there’s not some app that can do that for me. Now I found that there is one. Ok I will not use it, but that’s very strange

You should make this limit by the way of the server, do not really on common sense, that’s something that do not exist these days.

Bad developers * smack * The firefox side bar I am making is hardcoded to check every half hour, I am not giving users the option to change this time limit for this very reason.
