Hi everyone, nice to be here! finally some excuse to introduce myself and say hello to this great community! so, HELLO !
Just wondering out loud, maybe you can share your Cinderella stories with me… Have you heard about people that didn’t get any sales on the first day or week but their product somehow prevailed and eventually got sold? Or is it only the other way around, that if it doesn’t get sold on the first day or week then its likely to disappear or just get thrown down the list?
HELLO johnnybd, Welcome to the forums!
Yeah, it does happen for an item to start selling some days after the first exposure… Maybe clients first bookmarks it, but finally purchase it when they need it!
Hi Steve, Thanks for replying, and more than that, thanks for the positive reply it keeps things in the right perspective, speaking of… perspective… is there any tool to find out what is the most searched term on videohive? to give us, the authors, some indication regarding what people look for?
Sorting by sales helps, obviously, it shows us what people bought the most and can give us a very clear picture in regards to how popular a 3D Logo template in AE is but, as fun as it could be creating 3d logo templates on a daily basis there must be a bit more diversity, and if that search bar could only speak … the things we’d all know, oh boy… Great work by the way Steve, big fan!
I don’t think I’m the right person to answer this but I think that you do really nice work and have some quality files that are useful. That combination usually sells, in the long run, apparently. It just happens to be that we are in an odd month where sales are behaving erratically.
My portfolio here isn’t large and my time here is still short, but when one of my files doesn’t take off with daily sales from the home page it usually ends up just sitting there with little attention. (Home page day is very stressful for me!) I think that it’s a good indicator to the demand of the concept of the file, and for me it helps to change directions creatively. I’m just hoping that the demand shifts over time to included my concepts
This thread here is where we like to complain and comfort each other about low sales: http://videohive.net/forums/thread/the-sales-monitor/51465
My item sold well in the first month, then not so well in the next 10 months. Then it started to sell well again with increasing sales between January-March. April wasn’t a great month startign from about midway in and up to now, but I’ve been hearing that many people seem to be havign lower sales right now.
sales are lower then the lowest actually the bundle kills the main sales before and after the release
wow. thanks for the comments guys, in the meanwhile, there have been 3 sales since this topic started, left me speechless, there is always hope!
It remains only to earn money with referrals for bundle!
seems like patience is a virtue, 6 more sales and finally they gave me the brown paw!! thank you everyone
