So I recently got a macbook air and while I love it to bits, the magsafe 2 keeps flying out – I tried to pick it off of my desk to lay in bed with it – it fell out from picking it up. If you barely bump it, it comes out!
Just me?

I just got an Air as well, have to agree it’s a bit annoying. I suppose it’s better than the worst-case alternative
Does yours also get hot when watching Netflix? The fan doesn’t come on but it does get warm.

Yeah, any streaming video content has that effect for me. In the winter, maybe it’ll be a “feature” haha

Are you talking about the adapter (box) getting hot or the plug near the mac? if its the plug then contact apple support. they are not meant to be hot to touch.

I’ve read numerous complaints on the internet about magsafe2 not being strong enough, but mine (on rmbp) is so strong it’s hard to disconnect. Are they different on Air?

Same as @xdkd, on the RMBP it seems unusually strong, but I’ve tripped on it a couple of times and it’s come out so guess it still does the job.
Must be a pain in the ass if it keeps falling out, but I guess it has to be weaker because the air is so light

It’s VERY difficult if you’re pulling it straight away from the laptop, however, if you barely push it in a vertical direction, it’ll come out VERY easily.
And yeah Chris what’s what I mean. The good news is when it gets hot I can hold it in front of the air conditioner for a few seconds and it’s back to normal.

I know you should not need what I’m about to say, especially for a expensive laptop but compressed air in a can, turn it upside down and spray the bottom…. wow, it gets cool fast! I believe its compressed nitrogen or something like that so when you turn it upside down you get liquid coming out not air.
