New videohive player

Hey, have you recognized the new preview player? What do you think?

actually videos are running a bit slow and some are playing audio-only…weird stuff in the last hour with this new player….

I’m having some troubles too on my pc, looks like playback is not as smooth as it sould be, I’ll try a notebook tomorrow.

We just pushed out an update to the video player. It’s an upgrade to the latest version of the software we were running previously.

Are you guys having problems with all videos, or just specific ones?

Thanks madlep,It s nice to know we are not forgotten.
But IMHO it s time to have a brand new player, with new functionalities and compatible with the Apple devices.
I hope this is just the starting point,and that we do not have to wait another 3 years in order to have the next update

It’s something we’re looking at. This was a quick update to fix some problems that some users were having.

The problem with VH on Apple devices (that don’t do Flash) is most of the videos are encoded in FLV format, which isn’t very HTML5 friendly. The new version of the player is actually smart enough to use a mobile Safari friendly HTML5 player if possible, and fall back to flash if required.

Unfortunately, that’ll happen in VH till we change the video format.

Actually, I find it pretty annoying. What is the reason to show twice the Videohive logo? I think that the watermark is enough. The user alredy know that he is at videohive.net
And yes, I actually suggest other kind of video player PLEASE! We are motion designers and the VIDEOS are our life. We need a good player to showcase our works without bugs!

In my browser when it reaches the end, it suggest to replay but no data are cached, so it load again. No everybody has super Internet connections and sometimes the first play is too laggy. Please make a wise move and choose a better video player.

Hey madlep, what about a Loop Playback button? Sometimes it’s necessary to watch a video again and again several times, it was very convenient in the previous version, what about this one?

Some new items on the front page have having playback issues (when others don’t),
For ex. check an item called “Clear Molecule” (3849020)...before the new player I never had any issues …

It would be even better if we could use preview video in other formats too and could pick one wich we like the best because FLV preview if you have a dark image pixelates all animation if the background are black or something and it definely don’t look good …
