Wonderful stuff… this is a great step in the right direction. Can’t wait to see it working.

@Jordan

I’ve mentioned this one before, but I think it’s worth saying again, when you implement rollover vids for Videohive, the user needs to be able to control where the preview starts. If not, you’re going to create a culture of projects structured so the first 5 seconds is mind-blowing…. which will get pretty monotonous for buyers and authors alike.

I’m not actually responsible – but have passed the suggestion on to Jason and the devs. (p.s. I agree that would be cool) :-)

It would be great if you can add extended price somewhere.
In my personal opinion, I don’t think that would be a good idea as you need to limit the amount of information in the roll-over preview, too much information and it will start getting cluttered pretty easily.

Are there any changes being made to AD thumbs?

It’s for all thumbs across the marketplaces :-)

oh this is much better!

One tip:
I put my cursor over the thumb (the preview popup)
I scroll with the wheel and the cursor is positioned over the next thumb
The preview don’t change.

Looks weird.

I’m Chrome user

When you use the scroll-wheel or PageUp/PageDown technically the mouse hasn’t move to fire off the JavaScript event, only your browser viewport has really moved so that’s why it’s not updating I’m afraid.

Couldn’t you just figure out the offset of the thumb and have an event attached to window.scroll so that it would compare the cursor position, scroll position, and offset of the thumb to do it? Actually, it’d be a lot more work than it is worth.

in design point of view. its look good.

but other than that it means nothing to me. You already have all the details of default mode. If you mouse-over the thumb why you again show all the details[price, title, authorname, category] which is right back. Just add some other details of that file in mouse-over module. Its just a opinion of me.

There are a fair few pages on the marketplaces where the metadata wasn’t available until you drilled down to the item (the homepage being one of these key areas) so the new mouseover data is to address these key areas plus we’ve got other UI changes in the works so it’ll all start to come together in the coming months and will make a lot more sense :)
