New Band Template Need some feedback

Hey guys, just started working on this new band template. What do you guys think of the look so far. Any feedback is appreciated. The player buttons and graphics will be changed. Just working on them now.

I think it’s a bit scary.

Maybe you love Kiss, I obviously don’t, but for a template this is maybe not so suitable.

The menu is interesting, but does not work as design concept.

hey Thanks for the reply, what do you mean that it’s scary. Is it the design or the images? What do you suggest for the menu since you said it’s not jiving with the rest of the design.

You are selling to an entire marketplace, you should think about it when choosing images for your slides. You are not selling your theme to just buyers who like rock music.

The menu can have a 1px break between the menu items, that would look cool

Hey what do you mean a 1 px break between menu items?

I know i choose some scary images but i just love the colors of the images, also i do not think that the images will matter too much cus essentially musicians will use their own background images. I will also try to add a fullscreen video in for the bg slider but for now i am just trying to have the base page figured out still working on a lot of graphical elements this is just a rough copy so far.

1px break I mean 1px transparency between menu items.

Sorry dude but i don’t understand what you mean. The menu background is transparent but are you saying that the menu items should be transparent as well. The colors are not gonna be the same still kinda deciding on the menu state colors. What do you think, should i have a different menu bg to match the background of the mp3 player or should i stay with the bg that i have now?

I welcome any suggestions that you have.

Let’s say you have a menu bar with #111 background color, and this menu is just above an image. The menu items could have a border-right each, but instead, use a 1px break, and this break is actually the only way you can see the image through the menu.

Or if you need more clues, look at my latest template. Check the child menu items. You will understand.

Hey Thanks for the info. Btw love the template man very nicely done. So what you mean is to add a divider line like a 1px border between the menu items, right. If thats what you mean then yeah i am going to just have not got to style the menu to that extent yet but definitely going to make the menu look a lot better.

As for the header/menu background do you think that i should have a solid color or I should work with the one i have now?
