Also, take into consideration themes development ‘allow’ programmer to ‘reuse’ most of the codes/functions/widgets. So, you may only create 20% – 40% new codes in your next themes. Once you have your solid backend framework, your work become easier. However, the designer need to ‘create’ or ‘modify’ the same elements and put them into a ‘theme’.

So, when the developer is providing support, the designer can start creating new designs and ideas. If, he knows a little about HTML /CSS, then he can provide support for the front end bit as well.

I think 50-50 is fair for long run and happy collaboration, but considering the designer should at least know html/css.

the idea is very important to me. You have no idea, you absolutely CAN ’T do anything.

Let’s make a calculation: WP – (PSD + HTML ) = 40 – (10+15) = $20. so only $20 for WP

$40 – $50 for the whole work you have to do from scratch to finish. Draw your ideas, convert it to html and wordpress.

PSD $10
HTML $15
WP $45

To export images from PSD to HTML (which is a lot of work) + $5 for design process.

WP $45 – (PSD $15 + HTML $15) = $15 only for wordpress coding. Each process is roughly the same amount of cost.

By the way, do you need a dev? Just asking, because i see a nice PSD ’s in your account but no HTML or WP…

thanks for your interest, have quite a few request, but i employed some more guys and we started to code it hopefully will be getting first stuff out in few days.

Obviously the design guys will never agree, but a good developer is harder to find than a good designer. A good developer is MORE EXPENSIVE than a good designer. I’m not talking about the big guys on TF here, I’m talking generally.

I’ll be needing a developer for a premium photography theme completed in about 3 or 4 days…
