I’m in between speakers/DA converters. And just need to know from someone who has an accurate setup if the bass is too hot on this… http://audiojungle.net/item/go/4408216?WT.ac=portfolio&WT.seg_1=portfolio&WT.z_author=Sky-Productions

Thank you, it is appreciated.

Hey Sky

Your bass is a very important part, especially in the beginning of the track. There it’s loud, but surely not to loud. To me it’s even too thin when the drums come in! It should or could have much more very low frequencies, since it should “carry” the whole thing with it’s sustained notes. But I really miss the bottom! I have a calibrated high-end speaker setup with a additional subwoofer, but it sounds as would the subwoofer has nothing to do.
If you like to hear a track with insane bass, you find it here:

It’s very beautiful and well balanced – but it shows in my opinion the very very upper limit of bass frequencies level!
So relax, you could have MUCH more bass and still be on the safe side :) Just don’t let it clip of course. But if you use a (multiband) compressor and/or limiter in your sum you should be able to handle it!
And: A very nice track in my opinion btw!! :D
Good luck mate!

I’m not able to listen to it now. Sitting in my company without speakers.

I just want yout to suggest to make sure “not” to use a multiband-compressor in your master as long as you’re working on the track. Crazy things can happenĀ“than.

I’ll have a listen later.

Cheers, Udo

I dont think that bass is loud, because he represents main groove in intro. Maybe piano need some eq and kick need just a little more meat – for me its sounds too lush – but overall theme is superb anyway))
