I don’t know the full story, but I do think that banning an authors account because they got spammed is quiet strict, and something Envato should NOT be dealing with in any way, shape or form. What happens outside these marketplaces should stay this, regardless of their author status.
I’m sure there are a few exceptions to this rule, but still, anybody can get involved in an unsolicited spam attack and it can be a virus they downloaded which starts spamming their twitter account.
