You guys are making wish I had NI Komplete 8… :/ Must…have…more…sales…..

I got one as well and whats powerful about it imo are the selections of drums and percussion that you can have AND the synthesizers that comes with it. When it comes to Native Instruments they are pretty innovative with synths. Plugins like Absynth, Massive, FM8, Reaktor or Razor will take you most likely anywhere if you were to start something from scratch.

You’re very welcome. Another advice from me: Buy it only, when you don’t have to pay it in rates, this is such a bad thing to have this in the neck…you rather make good music without this (you did already and you still can do….it’s not gonna pay at that quik…).
But another about waiting for the update or not: If you buy the Komplete 8 only (not ultimate) you can upgrade later to ultimate and you will get the latest version anyway…

using only studio drummer, guitar rig 5 (guitar played by me!) and one of the kontakt library bass guitars.
i have found studio drummer very very useful and good sounding, i just use that one now for my productions, linked to jamstix.
guitar rig is also awesome… maybe amplitube is better (i have tried the free version) but i chose to stay on GR instead of spending more money on amplitube.

just kontakt 5, guitar rig and studio drums may be worth K8 price. I rarely use the synths, but they are a great value. Reaktor is a world in itself, that i barely explored.
if you are intersted to hear some more K8 sounds, in this “pop” track i used abbey road drummer, the new york piano of K8 (i think, but for sure is one of the piano series) and guitar rig for processing my bass sound:

for the claps/fingersnaps i have arranged a custom patch in kontakt.

Komplete is the base of anything virtual I do. Guitar Rig, Studio drummer…. Komplete with a DAW like Logic is mind blowing. I’m not sure if I’ll ever discover all the goodies in there. Killer app!
