Pretty self explanatory from the title; name your five (it was three but that wasn’t enough ha) favourite composers and scores/tracks from scores.
Mine are (at the moment)
Thomas Newman – Shawshank Redemption – Stoic Theme
Alan Silvestri – Mouse Hunt – Title Theme
Danny Elfman – Spiderman 2 – Title Theme
John Williams – The Terminal – The Tale of Viktor Navorski
John Murphy – 28 Days Later – Title Theme
So it seems my favourites are all basically main themes, not sure what that says about my taste but hey, I guess for me they are the most infectious, impressive pieces which capture the mood of each film perfectly. Come on then, let’s hear yours!

I thought this would have been a good discussion, damn I was wrong haha
Thomas Newman – ‘Road to Perdition” is my all time favorite! Good call on that one. But also dig Zimmer, Tyler Bates, and Martin O’Donnell (Halo)
I like this thread, I want more suggested listening!

Yeah Zimmer is awesome too, love his work on Inception. I know Tyler Bates, haven’t heard many of his scores accept 300 and Watchmen and I will have to check out Martin O’Donnell (I don’t play many games)

Yes, great composer, a truly epic score for an epic film!
For the moment I think these are my choices:
Alan Silverstri – Forrest Gump Suite
Dario Marianelli – Liz On Top Of The World (Pride & Prejudice)
John Williams – Catch Me If You Can
Michael Giacchino – Married Life (Up)
Andrea Guerra – Opening from The Pursuit of Happyness
Honorable Mentions:
Howard Shore on Mrs. Doubtfire
Randy Newman on Toy Story
Zbigniew Priesner on Secret Garden

Nicholas Hooper – Harry Potter – Dumbledore’s Farewell – simple, but deadly.
John Williams – Enough to say his name, but, if you wish:
– Home Alone – Somewhere In My Memory
- Jurassic Park
- Harry Potter
- Star Wars – Imperial March (Hello!!!
)
-Indiana Jones
These are themes for forever.
-Howard Shore – of course
-Hans Zimmer – enough to say
-Steve Jablonsky…

John Williams…so many to mention but of course Star Wars (The Throne Room and End Credits) Jaws (One Barrel Chase) Jaws 2 (Attack on the Water Skier) The Towering Inferno (An Architect’s Dream) Raiders of the Lost Ark (The Miracle of the Ark)
John Barry…all his Bond scores
Jerry Goldsmith…once again so many to mention…Planet of the Apes (The Hunt) , Star Trek the Motion Picture (Main Theme) Poltergeist (Twisted Abduction, Escape from Suburbia) The Omen (Main Theme)
Bernard Herrmann…Vertigo, North by Northwest, Psycho etc
Miklos Rozsa….,Eye of the Needle (“The Fight” is a stunning track) Ben Hur (Main Theme), Spellbound, The Red House..
Max Steiner…King Kong
OK that’s 6, but I couldn’t help myself!!
Hans Zimmer – “Rock”(Main theme), “Crysis” (Main theme), “Transformers” (1st film theme)
