I think that if he would change the colors, plus redesign the post sections (different “read more button”, different separators, and pagination) it would be enough.

I don’t know from where.. but even those menu items that have the big colored bg, aligned to right seems familiar. Oh, the vast internet… you can’t do something original because someone_already_did_it_and_you_end_designing_your_page_from_the_subconscious_database and that tricks you.
