It’s like the flood gates have opened.
Lotsa familiar avatars! I was just digging through the bounce folder and there’s all kinds of stuff I didn’t finish. Time to go plug in…
Nice to see you back!
And thank you for supporting my song
I put it in the iTunes playlist that I listen to almost every day. Cool track Biala!
Welcome back, Rob! It’s good to hear you’re making music again
Welcome back! :))))))))
To be honest, I felt my guitar skills were lacking and I spent all of that time practicing. There were things I wanted to play but my skill level wasn’t up to par, so I’ve been cleaning up my technique over the last year. Think I’m ready to get back to it.
The story goes a bit deeper. I picked up a new Macbook Pro in November-an i5 with 8gb of ram and I was on that and busy freelancing web work. Then I went with my lady up to Bethesda on a business trip. The day I was supposed to leave someone broke into a friends house we were staying at and stole my machine off the kitchen counter. I was working on a track that day with my oxygen25. I get back and everything but the computer was right where I left it. It’s still out there in the wild somewhere, but probably parted out. I had the find my Mac registered and it still hasn’t come online but if they do it’s going to wipe itself.
So I managed to get the dough and get another. This one is an i7 with all the trimmings. Lost about a month of stuff and my backup schedule has been more intense since then. Between everything that happened I kept playing and getting better so it’s all good. Even though all my info is out there I have another measure of confidence. I recommend 1password to everyone with a Mac. After your machine goes to sleep it locks up your auto complete data and also stores it on dropbox. I brought the new machine home and between that and a time machine backup I was up and running that evening.
