Hello everybody, I thought I’d introduce myself having been lurking the last week! I’m Flossie and I mainly write songs but am also working on some instrumental stuff.
It seems to have taken me ages to get there but I've had my first track approved - can't believe how excited I am! I had such a difficulty getting the watermark on my song in reason and record, am I the only one who has had problems with that? Either way it's done now . I've also noticed the quality of the preview track isn't as good as I would have liked has anyone got any hints/tips?
My first track is called ‘Emotional Journey’
Thanks

Hey Flossie, congratulations on the approval and welcome to the Jungle
Great work, just had a listen, really beautiful progression. I think it will do well. I work in protools, but actually use Audacity to put the watermark in, because protools does not have a “non-realtime” bounce feature. Maybe that’s worth having a look at next time.
Good work
Thanks Nikin and Benji! I also used Audacity as Reason and Record wouldn’t load the file (unsupported format) then I copied it over and then had to double and half the loop time to get it to play at the right speed against the bpm of the track…nightmare, I’m sure there’s an easier way to do this! Sadly I’m not very technically minded!
nice track & welcome.
Hey and welcome, the way I do it is I export my finished track from Reason. I open the track wav in Audacity and convert it to 320kbps mp3 (so now I have my mp3 and wav full song file without the watermark for the zip). Then I open the mp3 full track in Audacity and import the watermarked file. I have a one minute loop of the watermark and my songs always have a length of about 2:15 so I just copy the watermark and paste it again once to pull it over the full track. And then I just export the combined watermark and song to mp3 again with the name Preview.
Anyway I as a reason user find it much more convenient to do it this way rather than import the watermark in reason itself.
