There are some authors here that I would be interested in approaching to do some kind of group project with.
AJ would need to put ’’projects’’ in their own sections and work out a system of splitting what ever revenue they may generate. Would AJ ever consider this?

It’s an idea that some people might go for, but honestly due to a number of issues I think it would be unlikely.
Who knows what could happen in the future, but at this time implementing a feature of that scale wouldn’t be feasible — it would take not only considerable developer resources which are at this time stretched elsewhere, but legal and fiscal consultation too. But hopefully one day!

You know, I have come to think of AJ not just as a marketplace but also as a community of musicians, and this post has inspired me to think : wouldn’t it be good to start a musical project, then pass it around and let another person work on it/ add a part, I dont know how it would work…or what the point would be, but let’s face it, we are not just here to make money, we are creative people, am I barking up the wrong tree or something?

This was an idea that was tossed around behind the scenes here some time ago as a purely community building/entertainment.
But then the question came up.. what platform/software would any collab work be done with?
How many people would be interested in participating though, just for fun?
i’d be game for something like that!
there is always the possibility of remixing … i do one for you, you do one for me. the original composer retains all the rights (the remixer forfeits any potential production rights, but then they are gaining the ones on the remix of their own piece) and the remixed file gets posted by the original author on his/her site. people could just approach each other and sort it out amongst themselves, maybe a posted link to the remixer page would be a nice thank you

Or maybe someone contribute some vocals and other parts to the freebies section of AT and we all do our own remix.

I think you guys are on the right track. I’d love to hear some music that came from the collective talent of AJ…but one better, you should take that stuff and sell it through TheCharityProject.
Would Airset fit the needs for such a project? As far as i remember there was the possibility to create a “community”/puplic web computer to share files and stuff?!
